The mirror has two faces

Interesting news article in light of our recent discussions about laptop dispersion programs...


The issue came to light when the Vice Principal used a photo of "inappropriate conduct" taken while the student and laptop were in the child's home, prompting a class action lawsuit by every student issued a laptop. Nice job genius.

  2. I posted about the same thing on my blog. This kind of stuff scares me away from supporting 1:1 computing without proper security feature and policies. I understand why the administrators did what they did, but to try to discipline a student for something outside of the classroom is ridiculous. Good job keeping an eye out on the topic.
